Not Paying Attention (Lesson Learned)
Bri and I learned a valuable lesson today. Do not get distracted while changing the baby's diaper. Bri's parents where in town and we where enjoying a nice afternoon at our house spending time together when "the lesson" was given. Bri was changing Aubrey on the couch talking with her mother like she had done so many times before, not really paying attention just going through the motions of changing a diaper. (I believe Bri and I can change a diaper in our sleep now) when Aubrey decided to poop right then and there projecting said poo onto the clean diaper, herself, the couch and finally Bri. All four of us just froze, for a split second I thought my wife's head was going to explode in anger but it quickly morphed into hysteria. We began laughing uncontrollably, when Aubrey decided she was not finished and poop again, the laughter just got louder at this and it was two or three poops later before one of us I can't remember who yelled for Bri to cover the baby with the "now poo cover" diaper. We got our selves under control, wiped out eyes and cleaned the baby, couch, and Bri.
Lesson Learned.

Tummy Time

Bri got out this mat that you put down on the floor with animals and things hanging for the baby to play with while it makes noise and probably does other things that I am unaware of. Aubrey seems to love this mat and spending time on her tummy. She has also discovered the joy of kicking to “push” her self across the mat.

Aunts & Uncles & Friends Oh My!
Today my mother held an “open house” for Aubrey. I have never heard of such a thing (for a baby) but my mother never fails to surprise me with her creativity to host a party.
Friends and Family came from all over to see Aubrey. Everyone had lots of Aubrey time. Aubrey did not have one moment alone. She spent the entire open house in the arms of an Great Aunt (mostly) or Great Uncle, Grandparent and an occasional friend. Mom and Dad (Bri and I) spent most the time wondering where our child was and who would be goggling over her next.
It was good to see friends and family and I look forward to more time with Aubrey’s extended family.
