Aubrey’s First Cold
Aubrey has her first ear infection. We have learned that she does not like medicine too much and we spend our time cleaning it off her outfits instead of getting her to swallow it.

Thumb Sucking Ok?
Aubrey has begun sucking her thumb. At first I was worried and made every effort to discourage this behavior. But after speaking with the doctor he informed us that this is natural and ok at this age. Bri calls is self soothing and it works like a charm, once she gets that thumb in her mouth she is as content as she can be.

Home Alone! (with Dad for the 1st time)
For Bri's birthday I gave her a "Mom's Day Off". I planned for a good friend of her's to come pick her up and take her out to a spa, do some shopping, get a bite to eat and see a movie. While I stayed home with Aubrey.
Well Bri had a good time and really enjoyed spending some time on her own. I wish I could say the same. The moment Mom left the building Aubrey's Mom sense went off and she began to cry. I have never had such a headache. I tried every tick in my arsenal (which is still quite limited at this point). She just would not calm down. But I had hope I figured feeding time would calm Aubrey down, I was wrong... She cried while eating, yes while eating, I did not know that was even possible, really while eating.
Mom came home and all was right with the world again, as soon as Bri entered the house Aubrey hiccuped and paused her onslaught to my ears and head. When she heard Mom's voice she stopped crying all together and became the angle once again.
